    Considering a change in direction...

Or maybe a move up the food chain. I've been slowly trying to work out a deal with Bowtie for one or both of his empty 210 cabinets, with an eye toward building A4s to replace my Simplex W stacks. Would this give me a sonic improvement, using the same drivers and horn setup? Woofers are 515s, horns/drivers are 1005b TFs/288B. I'd prolly keep the Frazier tweeter arrays. Of course the M19's sandwiched in between would have to go somewhere else...

Well, using 210s vertically didn't work for me due to the HF horns being so far away like yours are now, so guess it's not a problem for you and you'll need wings to 'fill the corners' with rolls of damping to fill the cavities if you don't make them false wall built-ins like I did with A7s. This will give you horns that go about an octave lower, so a good thing and you won't have all the cavity reflections plus M19 cab diffractions to muck up a considerable portion of the BW that you currently have, though there will be the 210's parallel horn wall reflections that I'm glad to be rid of.

Thank you sir. Adding an extra octave was part of the idea behind the 19's inclusion.

I appreciate the offer, but AL is a bit far for me. You might want to consider posting them on the buy/sell trade sub forum..

And as for the baby A7's they're actually as I bought them, loaded with 604-8Gs, with a small hole cut in the back for the compression driver....

I have a nicely constructed pair of "mini-A7" boxes for 12" woofs. Intending to use them with 414s but currently have many speaker projects in the pipe, as it were.

If anybody from the board is interested, pick up in downtown DC or maybe Philly.

    DC as in Washington DC?
If so, I'm in Northern VA and may be interested.

Yeah, DC as in belly of the beast, shrine of Baphomet, den of Iniquity, Washington DC. Dupont Circle, to be exact

Shoot me a PM or mail to jroberts at prismnet_com. You can take the boxes if you're actually gonna use em. I can hoard stuff pretty good myself. ;op

Looks like a promising space limited solution, which is why I acquired these.
