    One Off Stanley Screamers

    Picked up these Stanley Screamers this weekend.
    Very cool back story here. I bought these from the brother of Stan Miller who of course started Stanley Screamers with Altec's backing. He (Stan's brother) was a super nice guy and shared a few stories working in the wood shop making Screamer speaker cabinets. Not sure if these were prototypes or just custom made for Daddy Miller, but this pair was in fact owned by Stan's father who was a co-owner.

    LF is a 515, HF is an 802. One has a network, the other does not. They appear to originally be set up for bi-amping and perhaps the network was put in later??? Dunno, probs never will.
    Other interesting things I noticed is these use a tuned port and not just an opening plus the cabinets dimensions are 2 inches deeper than anything listed in the SS catalogs.

    BTW - they sound great of course ;-)

    Yes I have read that article awhile ago very cool indeed.. He hand picked all the drivers he got from Altec...
