Those have been on ebay for a while too. Usually I would be suspitious of the seller having no feedback. Since these are local pickup, the buyer could at least inspect them to their satisfaction before handing over the cash.
Seems like a pretty good deal for the pair. The drivers are worth more than the asking price. Must not be much interest in Altec or audio in those parts.
I think that the price is for just one, so double for the pair. Still might be worth it.

VH, that's how I see it.
I recently purchased a listing described as '2x 5y3gt Rectifiers', only one tube pictured and '1' the quantity box.. The auction, as it transpired, was for 2 tubes-1 lot of two tubes.
So, Ignore the pics and read the text when it comes to what is being offered. Even then the listing can be ambiguous.
If in doubt request clarification from the seller before bidding.

There was something about how the listing was worded before that made me think it was for a pair. It showed that 2 were available originally but 1 had been sold. I thought for sure he wouldn't sell just one speaker out of a pair and he must have had 2 pair available.
I agree with how its worded right now that its for a single and if I was buying I would definitely verify first
