Yeah they will probably go cheap because of the local pickup only. They will probably end up being a great deal for some local audiophile or flipper
I keep threatening to do a home theater setup with all Altec, always wondered about a 9844 for center channel. The horns were actually designed for behind screen mounting, and the 12's should do a better job on vocals than a 15.

I was just talking to a guy on ebay about a pair of 416-16b woofers. I was interested in them before the auction. Anyways they sold for 463 dollars plus shipping for the pair. Which is crazy, I paid 150 for a pair including shipping just a year ago. Anyways he told me he is the one who bought this pair of 9844a.
Making out like a bandit and he still has one pair of woofers and some horn drivers to sell.
Is this a really good time of the year to sell or are the Altec 12" woofers up in price that much?
