What is plastic 1/10" screen on A7-500 828 3/4" Plywood?

The screen is a black plastic perforated material, 10 circular perforations per inch, alternating rows staggered like CRT dots. Factory installed in 1977 on a pair of 828 3/4" plywood cabinets with skid rails on the back. Mounted with white double-faced adhesive tape and stapled inside the 3/4" plywood port panel (12.25" x 28.5") and sprayed "Theatre Gray" on the outside when built.

What is this material? I need one piece 9.5" x 27" to finish my restoration of these beautiful A7-500's. Some numbskull cut the screen out of the cabinet - maybe the narks were looking for a stash in those big old boxes? Heh - they were 20+ feet above the stage!

I can provide photos if you'd like to help!

    Thanks, Steve

Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.

I have seen the metal version of what you are talking about. Parts express sells sheets of it for PA speaker grills. I would think if the speakers wont be exposed to the birds and critters any more you could build a different style grill. Or maybe the metal stuff is a close enough match.
