Any 1" to 2" adaptors for 806 driver?

    Hello,

I am looking for an adaptor to mount standard 2" horn lenses onto Altec 806 two-bolt 1" exit compression driver.

Anything out there as a standard product?

I have 4 of them, brand new. 75.00 set of 2
Nice cast aluminum, the taper bore and flanges are nicely machined.

I just pulled them out of the box, the 1" side has 3 holes on a 4" diameter flange. The 2" side has a 4 hole bolt circle on a 4.7" diameter flange. The 4 holes are tapped and are on a 4" bolt circle. Overall length from flange to flange is 3"
It would be no problem to drill 2 holes on the 1" side for the Altec driver configuration. Of course I would do this on a Bridgeport milling machine to very close tolerances. (Ex toolmaker in another life)
Let me know if your interested.

No problem, I'm going to take all 4 of them to the shop and drill them to fit the Altec pattern. I'll gladly sell off 2 pieces but I think I'm going to hold onto the other 2, never know what I may find down the road.
I find the minimum posting requirements a pain but I just read other post and make comments on them. It gets you there pretty fast.

Do they match the 800's conical flare?

Well, the flare is from 1" to 2" in a span of 3". Anyway, all 4 pieces have been drilled to the Altec mount. I drilled the holes exactly 1/4 inch so the drivers will line up closely. There is still the 3 hole bolt circle, possibly JBL mount?

Re: Any 1" to 2" adaptors for 806 driver?

OK, without working it out I'm guessing no, so what does the adapter flare match up to horn wise? I ask because this part of the horn [800 series driver + adapter] covers from below 2 kHz - up, not to mention how well it loads the rest of the horn, so any discontinuities can be quite detrimental to its performance.
