I have set of 909-8A drivers and MR994A MantaRay horns coming sometime this week. Will measure mine as well.
For anyone on AK BarterTown, there is a set of 3156 drivers listed for 100.00 plus shipping.

    Re: 909s are 1"

So they arrived today. Everything is in like new condition. Drivers are 909-8A with SN of 433 and 437. Yes, they measure 1" at the exit point. Looked like they have never been opened, ever. Took the 3 screws off the aluminum cover and I had to tap it with the screw driver plastic handle to free it from the rubber ring/gasket. Removed the loading cap screws and the loading cap is stuck fast to the diaphragm so I removed it as an assembly. PN of the diaphragm is 26420 so it is the original Pascalite unit. Everything looks as new inside. Reassembled and am going to leave the other alone for now.
    Both coils read 6.3 ohm.
These were used with the 3156 woofer drivers he also has for sale so I'm guessing they came from a PA system. Horns are clean as well so I'm guessing a indoor installation such as a Church or school.
To use the 909-8A drivers for hifi, I'm guessing to remove the loading caps and add felts to the back covers. Does anyone remember the thickness of the felt?
    Thanks

No, but all you need is 1/8"
