Altec 604E Port size

Congratulations on your newly build cabinet for your Altec 604E,

Last sunday while I?m having lunch to a small eatery/grocery own and manage by an old japanese audiophile, we start talking about tubes and speaker, then we talked about his Altec A5 currently set up in his room located at the 1st floor of his house (eatery/grocery are on the ground floor). Then i mentioned to him that I?m wishing to own a fair of any 15? Altec Duplex speaker (605 or 604), then he silently go staright to the stairways on the way going up to his room at the 1st floor. Then I get suprised when he came down from the stairways that he?s carrying the 14 kgs (more or less) super duplex 604E [emoji1][emoji1], and he give me an offer that i cannot refuse.. after a few minutes of checking the speaker, I leave the place with a pair of Altec 604E comes with N1500a crossover..





1 604E old screws was been broken in half and requires to drill/tap 3 new screw to fix/mount the HF cover






It needs to be recone but woofer voicecoil & HF diapraghm are still ok..
