I agree with a few of the you tube posters, I wouldn't want to be staring at those tubes without some lead filled plate glass between me and them. Which brings to mind a question. Were the cages on most quality power amps designed for more than one reason? Sure on my Mc240 it looks pretty, and it keeps wandering fingers from touching a red hot tube. I wonder would they help in deflecting or blocking any stray X-Rays, Gamma Rays, EMF? If there are any emissions are they so minimal that it really doesn't matter?
I wonder what the bandwidth is on those big tube amps. I know some of the bigger organ tube amps I have run into were not really a full range amp. Some went low but rolled off after about 8khz. It seems like a basically "PA" amp would not need to cover much except the vocal and midrange frequencies.
