I'm about the same distance from you as those.
I have 9846's that belonged to the fella that started this board. They work!
Dayton 5% in place of original caps, original diaphragms with one repaired lead in conductor, correct replacement foams prior to my ownership still intact but getting on in age. The cones are a bit faded, one more than the other.
I did a half arsed job with bondo and paint, grills are covered with original factory burlap(gettin shaggy), all fastening hardware intact, They're pretty correct.

My problem is logistics and WAF. There will have to be a place to put them. When I've retired (again) and we get out of the city it would be easy.
