OT, Pinging Bill Wojo !!
Hi Bill,
I just read this, from a post you just put up on Audio Asylum :
RE: BEZ T3A-3 amp 2A3 - BillWojo - SET Asylum
With a monoblock McIntosh 40, you have 5 tube stages and 3 cap couples, to feed the signal through.
I could not find information on a BEZ T3A-3, as its an older amp, and newer models exist. BUT, it has a triode output stage ( SE 2A3 ) and it is LIKELY, ( if you are lucky ) only a 2 stage tube amplifier with perhaps just 1 cap couple.
Bill, IMAGINE what you would have to listen to if you ( personally - for yourself ) were to build an " ultimate " 2A3 build, only two stages, NO coupling capacitors what-so-ever ( the absolute worst way to couple !! ). Instead, direct coupled, mono, two stages, with a really-really good power supply in it ???!!!
I have been " working ", on an amateur basis, on this type of 2A3 design, heavily, for over ten years. I would be happy to assist you, in any and all ways that I could, for you to do some DIY amps for your listening enjoyment.
Wouldn't that be a neat turn-around........between the two of us guys??
Congratulations on your new listening experience. Best wishes...
