    Surprised at the 804 driver- it frankly wasn't very good.

    The 416's - even the 416A - were much better, IMO.

    In 52' he was 70 and probably deafer than a door nail. But, he could still hear those mids with his ALTEC'S. Sometime''s that's all that matters. (no matter what amp your using !)

    ??? 803B = 416A name change; the 803 OTOH was specific to the A800 with a 50-60 Hz Fs, fairly low Vas, high Qts, making the 803B/416 series the preferred choice for HIFI.
