    Troy Audio Hellenas

Shown at the recent RMAF. I couldn't connect with Troy Audio – Troy Audio to get more information. It looks like the large drivers are GPAs.

Sure looks like it, though need to proof their info better: 150mm should be 1500 mm based on other dims.

Looks like a lot of inspiration from the 6041.

How do those 6041 sound? I have never heard a pair. Looks like quite the combo

There are so many Altec speakers I have never heard of. It's kind of fun and exciting.

    Re: Troy Audio Hellenas

The 6041 seems very uncommon in the US, the 9862 shows up more often and is still very scarce.

Without an opportunity to audition either, i would be more inclined to gravitate toward the 9862 design.

The 950-8A tweeter will be the challenge to source in either case if you want to roll your own. They are more scarce than hen's teeth.

The 9862 looks like Altec's answer to the JBL 4343.
