Thank you everyone for the kind words.

I've been using Opera to log in here, and so far it has worked smoothly for the Altec board. However, it's not going to replace firefox for me as there are too many incompatibilities for my other needs. But it seems that at least for the time being, Opera will allow me to access our forum without issue. Many thanks Altec Best!

I used to use Opera from time to time, but have recently uninstalled it.....They got bought out by a Chinese company.

You might try Palemoon. It's based on an older version of Firefox, so fewer bells and whistles, and is kept up to date security-wise.

Your common sense posts help guide my through a couple of purchases and restorations. Model 14?s and 19?s. I?m listening Dire Straights on the 14?s as I type this.

Not too many of us that share a love for classic Chevys and Altec?s. Gotta stick together.

I am using an I pad mini to type this and it is not too much trouble. Don?t really love the tech of this forum either. Espically hard to post pics. But there is a trove of good info here and a lot of it was contributed by you.

Your Welcome Bowtie ! Glad you can post here now with no issue ! Because losing a family member always SUCKS ! That's strange because I have run into very few incompatibilities on my computer. I'm running windows 7.

It was sold to a private equity firm.. Once you are listed on the stock market you can be bought by anybody.. But the engineering is still done by the original Norwegian company.I tried all the browsers out there IE,Chrome,Firefox,etc... And Opera has worked the best for me so far..If you like privacy it is the only browser out there so far with a built-in FREE VPN.
