Thought I'd try late night and it's as fast as any I go to and way faster than I can remember it ever being! All the features back too!

Did a test search it took me all the way back to before I joined, though pictures, etc., still gone I thought the early history was long gone, lot of good tech info back then.........

But can we count on it being kept up and at what cost?

My helper and I are in negotiations with the owner of Hostboard to buy our forum from him. Buying it depends on whether or not it can be lifted from his servers and placed on a different, stable server of our own. If that can be done, and the new server can run the existing Hostboard program and it would be stable, fast, and usable, then that's the way we're going to try to go. If not, we're going to find out how to retrieve the data (messages, answers, links, etc.) move somewhere else (a stable environment that belongs to us), then find a way to make the data accessible, either as static data files that can be easily searched, or as messages like they are now, in place as though they were originally posted on the new site.

We'll post more as we know what's going to happen.

Interesting, considering how it's currently working, though much prefer your way long term. Over all, posting on FB really sucks and have found it next to impossible to find any of my postings after a day or two!

Much better today. I check in daily, and if it takes too long the boot the page, I give up.
