If they were local, i'd buy those in a heartbeat. Well, i'd sure go look em over real good at least.

Those cabinets look very substantially built, essentially a Valencia with increased volume.

The seller is some kind of douche nozzle, and it's obvious to me that he had nothing to do with the original construction and/or ownership of these. What kind of an asshat cuts the grill fabric off like that?

Somebody was damn proud of them to have those covers made. The covers look like the same material good piano covers are made from, it has a very soft white fleece lining to protect quality finish.

Those deserve a second look by you local folks. I suspect for an Altec enthusiast the cabinets alone may well be worth the entry fee. Regardless, there appears to be 500 worth of Altec components left there. To me, the surround on the woofer appears like that of an 803A.

The same kind of asshat who disassembled some 605b cabinets to sell the drivers I bought and decided he couldn't be bothered spend the 30 seconds to unscrew the crossover retaining nut from the attenuation knob and use a screwdriver to pry them from the cabinet and in doing so, bend the the pots and ruin otherwise pristine crossovers. He also destroyed the Altec attenuation plates as well.

I was able to replace the pots with aftermarket ones, so the crossovers now work, but it's shocking how stupid people are.
