Thanks Darrell ! From my position it’s hard to get anything done sometimes when reply’s to the administrator takes a week or two to get back to me.

"Try using a different bowser"?? No wonder this outdated forum is up Sh*t Creek. Start being a forum manager. Get a list of compatible browsers and let us know what they are for interim use.

P.S. I am one of the few long term members who has endured this debacle, mainly based on your undelivered promises. Get real. Take responsibility and stop flippantly blaming members.

P.P.S. This must be the worst performing forum on the internet. Accept it and stop leading us on.

Performance is iffy. Some days it is fine, others not.

I suspect it's old problematic software that needs lots of maintenance. Steven isn't making a living from Hostboard. It's at best a side gig. He can't dedicate enough time. When he gets time, the system returns to normal.

You act like you are paying a lot of money to access this board. You aren't.

The problem has been outlined. Todd and AB don't have enough money to buy Hostboard so they can take care of the maintenance.

Personally I think you should donate or shut the fuck up. I donated a decent chunk.

I find it amazing that you think volunteers are obligated to do your work for you.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.

    Good for you.

You have put forward new information that clarifies things some.

I apologise to AB for the tone of my post.

Re: Fix the access problem, or just bring the board down

The last I heard, I think Steven wanted around $1,500 for our part of it. Other times, he's wanted $3,000

The other expense is the hosting. I'm going to get with the guy who hosts a lot of the other audio websites and see what it would take to put us there. He's a friend, and likes Altec, so that's a plus.

I am member of the Lencoheaven board. That board functions without ad revenue. If there is interest, I can check with the mods there about how they manage the site hosting.

Red face Re: Fix the access problem, or just bring the board down

The site has been operating more reliably, recently.

Let's get the members back. Contact any you can. Well, with a couple of exceptions.
