hello all,let us not get carried away with calls of shutting this site down due to various problems associated with access to the site,notwithstanding.yes its a hassle at times just to get to the site,let alone logging in to interact with others.this is the best site that i have found on the internet for general and specific altec info supplied from former employees,contractors,and other individuals like myself(a lay person).i became a believer and a user in 1976 and i still think the speaker technology is above reproach for my purposes.i am sure altec would have evolved along with their competitors with new technology and most likely would be making 515 low frequency woofers with neodyium magnet assemblys for the motor.a true blasphemy for some,i am sure.if anybody knows of a more dedicated site for the altec believer and user please send me the link for that site.i need all the info i can get.in winding up my long winded post here,i am still looking for the dts645a-f systems,intact or parts.also the dts 945a-f system is acceptable for my purposes.the only difference is the fiberglass horn used for different coverages.also,ALTEC BEST your efforts are appreciated.thanks,darrell freeman.Please excuse any missspellings.
