    Community VB664 with 2 Altec 515-8GHP

Someone's offered to sell me some Community VB664's, so I went a searchin'.

First thought was: 'meh, my 16" frames won't fit into them', then I came across the Wolf Boxen (?):

    Familie Vallieur
Their copy of the spec sheet: http://www.vallieur.de/Grafiken/Boxe...nity_VB664.pdf

Factory spec sheet shows them dropping off below 60hz.

Doesn't look like he had to route the fiber glass shell - I see 515 surround peeking though (and seemingly centered).
That said, maybe they were designed for something not quite as massive as a 515-8G, and it'd not be structurally good. (?)

I've already got 8256's, these are only tempting because:
    -horn-loaded
-form factor might work better in certain instances
-cross-firing to ameliorate beaming at higher freqs. (?)

Any love for them, or run away?

I can only make general comments from my experience with similar Community flares. They sold the flares and you could build your own boxes. Or you could buy an assembled unit.
They sound as good as the horn portion of the A7 box, and better that the horn portion of the JBL 4560. Just realize they are midbass horns and not bass horns. Might be usable to 80 Hz, but for that application I would prefer the 815 cabinet. But it's a much bigger box.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
