Steven,
Thanks for your response.
I think these questions ( of looks & parts inclusion ) are best left to those in charge of this forum ( Todd W + Altec Best ).
I've stated my preferences and I'll simply leave it at that .
Those are not thread prefixes. That is noting that the thread is "live" as in it will auto refresh via Ajax every x seconds so that you do not nee to refresh if you want to leave a thread open and see if there are any replies. That image is default system wide otherwise I would just turn it off for this forum if requested by a moderator. I will rethink about either turning it off completely or maybe redoing the image into one that is less cartoonish...
As for the smiles, there are no porn inspired smiles that are part of the default Hostboard system. The default Hostboard smile sets can be found here:
http://www.hostboard.com/forums/misc...=vB_Editor_001
Under the smiles to the right of the posting editor is a link for more which is where and how to access them. The first 2 sets are the default vBuletin smile sets. The other 2 are from Microsoft. Both have been apart of the system for many years...
Can you please elaborate a bit more as to what or where you are seeing these items?

May those who use them leave too!
On another note: just now and last time I posted, the field I'm typing on has/had an obvious delay loading, which earlier it didn't and FWIW I've never noticed on other forums with similar design/features.
Loud is Beautiful if it's Clean! As always though, the usual disclaimers apply to this post's contents.
seems better to me
Ok the "Live" should be removed.
Technically anything is for sale for the right price. However since my hosting company cut me a break on the new server, and performance is no longer an issue, at this time I am not let it go at a "liquidation" price. But I did learn a few things, and one of the items that has joined the immediate need to develop is a way that each community can have their individual data extracted into a standard vBulletin database format, that would allow them to either use VB or use one of the other forum solutions out there and import the data. This is actually a lot more complex than meets the eye as not only are there community posts, but those that made the posts. But, we also have to be mindful of others sites and users and not "sell" their data. In a nut shell, we also need to build a community members group and make that list available in the HBCP with the ability of owners/moderators to add and remove from there. Basically if someone posts in the forum for the first time they will get a notice that upon submission they agree to be a member of that community. Then we have a tangible list to work with and a complete data set. There are other issues that we also need to include to make this work but this is the basic premise.
