Man, 4600$...
I like the veneer better on his M18 cabs versus the oak veneer on my M17 cabs.

Nice speakers, but seriously he needs to cut that price by at least half.

Yeah I was thinking they were selling for around 3k$ a pair, but maybe the market has changed. I couldn’t find any recent sales on eBay with factory cabs.
There was a pair that have custom plywood 620 cabs that went for 4900$ plus 1000$ shipping. Lol.

I think if I was going to build a pair of 620 cabs I would leave out the hole for the front mounted xover and set them up with dual binding posts on the back so one could use external xovers like Markwarts, or biamp.
Everyone knows you aren’t a real audiophool unless you have your xovers mounted on top of your speakers so you can tweak them
I should really reveneer my 25$ pair of M17 cabs. Might be a good investment. Haha

For my needs I could build a better cabinet and just buy 604's. Would sound better too.

For me it's what's the cost to replace a good clean known pair. I like my K's and L's, so the only option equal or 'forward' would be GPA, and the 604-8H Series III new are now $1800 ea., so meh. Am I gonna get anywhere remotely approaching $3600 for a pair of mine? Nope. So here they lie ensconced in fresh double-wall boxes awaiting their next rotation or experiment.
Those were H's, so presumably desirable to alnico seeking buyers.

Hmmm. Now I thought that title went to my N604-8K's. I better go back and read through the Markwart...
Good pairs of 8H with XO sell on eBay from time to time for ~US$1600-1800.
Factor in 620 cabs, say US$800.
Yeah definatly not cheap. I always like looking at the Altec stuff when it comes up for sale and it surprises me what some people ask for it. It makes me feel that over the last 20 years I have sold my gear way too cheap. I definatly miss these.
For every price there is someone who will ask it.
