is it common for these things to run so very hot? pulled it from the rack and it was quite warm. i needed to get it open to look for an isolation transformer...

Todd, thanks for the info on this thread, the only one that mentions the 8432A afaik. I may look for one, but am wondering...
Do you still have the software/for sale/how can I get it?
Do you recall anything more about the 8432A's XO functionality? e.g.
- how was it set? (toggle, module, etc.)
- what frequencies available / customizable?
- what type and slopes available?

+ RE: an earlier question on the 8055B momentary toggle:
3.4 Recalling an Equalizer's Programmed Settings
To recall an equalizer's settings, press the momentary toggle switch, located on the rear panel of the unit, for approximately half a second.
When the frequency band LED's extinguish, the settings have been recalled from the equalizer and now reside in the 8055B's memory.
To display the settings, simply select the desired frequency band or master gain using the ">" or "<" keys.
The programmed gain will be displayed automatically on the gain scale.
