    OMG! i just made my very first batch of homemade peanut brittle and it turned out *does a happy dance* and its so yummy!
    i want to share my recipe with you guys

    Peanut Brittle
    2 Cupes sugar
    1 cup white Karo syrup
    2 cups dry raw peanuts
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla

    Bring sugar and karo syrup to a boil,add peanuts cook until the color of the syrup turns a pale yellow.add vanilla remove from heat add soda and stir. immediatly pour onto a buttered cookie sheet. pour on two sheets if you want it to be thin let cool break into pieces and enjoy!

    Thank you Twi, I'm drooling over here... I haven't had peanut brittle since I was a kid. Around this time of year my mother would make brittle, but she would add toasted coconut instead of peanuts....I will mention this to my wife and see if she'll let me have some...brittle I meant [img]redface.gif[/img]

    Spice her up... Stick a opened can of beer up it's ass stick it on one of those stand up thingys.... cook at low to moderate heat for 2-3 hours it's so easy, we do it all the time at the deer lease... [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

    We had a roast the other day, This morning, My wife chipped up the left over arm roast, chunked up some taters and carrots, added about a cup of frozen sweet peas, and a drained can of corn, threw it into a pot and added a few packets of a brown gravy mix and let it simmer for a while and it turned into a delishious left over beef stew.
