This transition can never be stopped, only delayed for a time, but eventually, the universe demands its due, and even the so-called 'immortals' among us must obey.

His time had come.

But those we call gods, or angels, or immortal, are not so very different from the rest of us. The sole difference is that they have figured out a secret that the rest of us don't possess.

The glory days have passed, yes.
