On Posting losing text formatting and board level defaults

I think I was able to post with formatting because I wrote my story in a Rich text Editor, TextEdit, on a Mac. It uses a RTF .rtf format not a TXT .txt format. Then I just cut and pasted.

I think raw text files may be imported with some of the wysiwyg formatting lost.

I wonder if there is a RTF format setting the Moderator uses at a Board Level that will retain formatting as a default. (sort of like the "censorship" setting, on that is a board default of the Moderator.

I am only thinking aloud. I just wondered why our old stories were turned to applesause.

It may be the TEXT format default was set and stripped formatting on import .
