Weelllll, a certain fellow has been needling me to post some topics *w* & I'd like to &... I have some time (i.e.insomnia) tonight, so here's a starter..
To understand both art and life one must go back to the source of all things, and that is nature. Eliel Saarinen
Quotations... often timeless, intellectual or not, from comediennes/ans, literary notables, movie scripts, dirty, oops! I mean 'erotic' sources .. historical figures, musicians etc. even friends or acquaintances. They are passed on from person to person, through generations even, to help you through a private moment, comfort or inspire you, move you to laugh out loud, quietly reflect, perhaps unlock a memory, or run to scratch it down on a napkin.
I have several worn books of quotes I have gathered through the years...they are little treasures for the soul...*s*.. some dated, some not, during the time I heard, read or was given those succint words. Anyone else drink up a few well chosen words, in such a way? Lemme know.. *runs to grab pen* *G

I can sympathize with peoples pain, but not with their pleasures. There is something curiously boring about somebody else's happiness.
Aldus Huxley
All generalizations are dangerous, even this one.
Alexandre Dumas
From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.
Karl Marx
