U.S. May Import Prices rose 2.3% compared to consensus of an increase by 2.6%; U.S. May Petroleum Import Prices rose 7.8%; U.S. May Retail & Food Sales rose 1.0% compared to consensus of an increase by 0.5%; U.S. May Retail & Food Sales Excluding-Autos rose 1.2%; April Retail & Food Sales revised to an increase by 0.4% from a decrease by 0.2%; U.S. Import Prices soar signaling rising inflation pressures.

Commodities Markets
Energy Sector: Light Crude (NYM) gained $0.36 on the day to close at $136.74 a barrel ($US per bbl.); Heating Oil (NYM) shed $0.03 on the day to close at $3.94 a gallon ($US per gal.); Natural Gas (NYM) gained $0.14 on the day to close at $12.80 per million BTU ($US per mmbtu.); Unleaded Gas (NYM) gained $0.06 on the day to close at $3.53 a gallon ($US per gal.).

Metals Markets: Gold (CMX) shed $10.90 to close at $872.00 ($US per Troy oz.); Silver (CMX) shed $0.37 to close at $16.49 ($US per Troy oz.); Platinum (NYM) shed $11.20 on the day to close at $2,025.90 ($US per Troy oz.) and Copper (CMX) shed $0.04 on the day to close at $3.54 ($US per lb.).

Livestock and Meat Markets (cents per lb.): Lean Hogs (CME) shed 0.51 to close at 74.10; Pork Bellies (CME) shed 0.23 to close at 73.33; Live Cattle (CME) gained 0.75 to close at 101.60; Feeder Cattle (CME) gained 0.23 to close at 109.05.

Other Commodities (cents per bu.): Corn (CBT) gained 6.75 to close the session at 739.50 and Soybeans (CBT) gained 3.50 to close session at 1,512.50.

Bond action for the day: 2 year bond shed 15/32 on the day to close at 99 5/32 with a Yield of 3.06, Yield Change +0.25; 5 year bond shed 1 2/32 to close at 99 2/32 with a Yield of 3.70, Yield Change +0.23; 10 year bond shed 22/32 to close at 97 9/32 with a Yield of 4.22, Yield Change +0.15; the 30 year bond shed 1 4/32 to close at 93 23/32 on the day with a Yield of 4.77, Yield Change +0.08.
