Hello all, Well, first off I just want to say thanks to all who contributed here at the board, This will be my donation. This is a story in 3D that I've been working on. It's not finished, but I've managed to upload 66 pics. It's about 70% done. You can find them at. http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/4364...c8e1987a4494d/ I've never done this before, so bare with me if it doesn't work. Let me know what you think. Take Care, GJ |

Dear Gotjack: I think that this is absolutely amazing. I have never seen anything like it before. I have always been a big fan of pictures, which is the main reason that I liked the Bitchwars site so much. There is just something about pictures that starts the imagination soaring. I don't know how you created this, but it looks like some kind of computer animation program where you get to choose the characters and you can put them in whatever positions you want. What are the limits to this? Can you photoshop different faces and different body types and put them in any poses that you want? I can just imagine how cool it would be if you could illustrate some of the stories on this board, assuming that you can use girls who look the way that the author envisioned them in the stories. The possibilities are endless. Aside from that, I love the two characters that you created and the back stories that you gave them, and I love the way that they look, too. I am anxious to find out how things turn out between them. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! |

GotJack>I haven't read it yet, but even from just a cursory look, I can tell that this is pretty fucking sweet. Good job! My only artistic critism would be to add some soft focus to certain areas of the background to suggest depth and atmospheric perspective, and maybe warmer lighting in outdoor scenes (add a yellow filter), to differentiate them from indoor ones (which will have cooler lighting). Fenix>He's probably using Poser, rather than any standalone 3D animation program like Maya, Lightray, or the one I trained on, 3D Max. Poser is pretty much as the name describes... it's a program with a pre-built and rigged character that allows you to pose them and place them in pre-rendered enviroments. I have no real experience with it beyond enjoying the art of people that use it, as seen on Renderosity.com and Renderotica.com. The way I understand how it works is that you can purchase various add-ons, character models, asset models, textures, and even packages of pretty set poses, as well as algorithems that allow you to manipulate a pre-rendered model's mesh slightly (magnets?), rather than exporting them to an external 3D program, modeling and texturing it yourself, and then importing it back in, if there are any changes you want to make to the mesh. I'm not sure what kind of controls they have for making facial expressions, as that would have to be vertex animation to do anything other than changing the direction of the eyes, or making a jaw control to open and close the mouth... my guess is that here are just a number of pre-rendered facial expressions that you can plug into the model. Let me know if I'm wrong about any of this... I've never actually used Poser before, and while it is the most limited of 3D programs, you can get some pretty spectacular results out of it if you know how to use it (proper lighting, texturing, specularity, and normal mapping, for example, can add a whole other level to a 3D image). [ September 12, 2008 06:34 PM: Message edited by: ForeShadow ] |

Well hello again, Thank you one & all for your kind words on my recent post. This is a much better response than the sleepy Yahoo groups. Well lets start with alittle tech talk. I use 3D software called Poser 6 to do these renders (pics) As much as it does a decent job, there is much better 3D software out there. The biggest drawback in using 3D software is that it takes up alot of resources on your PC. I use photoshop to clean up the images, add titles etc. ForeShadow has a pretty good idea about 3D apps when he posted his message to the board. Also, ForeShadow thanks for the critque about softer focus and yellow lighting for outside pics. One of my biggest drawbacks has been lighting a scene in Poser, so I've been relying heavily on photoshop. With that out of the way, I've managed to upload a new preveiw gallery. These are just some ideas I had bouncing around for awhile in my head. I will finish the "Legend of Molly" story before I start anything anew. The TF Wives story should be next. It's going to be a fairly long story told in segments. I've got some pretty good ideas for that one. Well here's the addy for the new gallery. http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/c8e6...3a2d680946e46/ Once again, thank you one & all for your compliments. It inspires me to do more. Take care, gotjack |

Hello, I have to agree with everyone else so far. This series is FANTASTIC. Its so good, its hard to even begin where to start. The art is EXCELLENT. The story line is GREAT. The setting is exotic, original and exciting. The combination of art and text is very powerful, once of the best catfight articles I have seen in a long time. Thanks for posting it VERY much. |
