this is mostly a rant on general humor fanfiction. has anyone else every noticed that usually when someone writes a comedy, it's not so much a comedy but a bit of random stupidness brought on by sugar highs? Seriously, I'd like to read a smart comedy. One that doesn't leave me with question marks flying around my head and one that doesn't make me think "Er..." to myself. In fact, I've found that the most comedic moments are usually in dramas or really serious fics. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!?!?!

That's why I stay away from comdies as they never seem to make any sense. That and my humor is dry and sarcastic and fluffy humor tends to be lost on me.
The only serious humor fics that I know of, they're funny and have interesting plot lines, are Crazygurl70's and Kolinshar Benito's stories. Some of LizBethy's stuff is also good.

I admit, I'm a big fan of Lizbethy's Anime High, and most of her other ones.
But yes, far too often these "comedies" are ridiculous. Even the ones that are purposely cliched to attack cliches. It gets old fast. Too often weird characters are thrown in and there is no plot, just weird stuff happening. And too often it really isn't funny.
