Hi gang,

We sold out of our Spideys by 5pm today. It was comic book hell. People came in and picked them up by the handfulls. While some wanted them for kids and friends, others were picking them up for co-workers who saw it on the news, but wouldn't know how to find a comic store if thier life depended on it. wink

But on a more serious note, others picked them up to scalp. Greed makes the world go round, but you should not pay more than $2.25 for this comic. Marvel printed a ton of them and anyone charging over that for the next few weeks is most definatly ripping you off. I have heard of people selling them for $12 bucks already. frown

While we ran out today, we do have a ton of them on backorder and should get them by next week at the latest. The same should be true of other comic shops.

Red face

Wow...WOW!

I don't buy comics. This one, because it was hyped a bit here and there, became one I wanted to get, just to see how good it is. Wow...
Even if you aren't into "comic books", get this one. You may miss some of the subtleties, but the words and the art are fantastic.
I just wish they'd put the advertising somewhere else but in between the pages for this one. Still, Wow...

I stopped off at my fave comic book store just south of the Empire State Building on Saturday. They had plenty in stock, but were still restricting people to one per customer.

The verdict on this one is, "wow." That's it, just "wow."

The one we went to after the parade. Jim Hanson's Universe? I think that's right.

They must have a very good relationship with their suppliers. They don't seem to run out of things as quickly as other places.

They are bigger and can afford to order more is my guess. And maybe a bit better prepared than we were.

Marvel is re-releasing Spiderman in a book called Marvel Must Have's #2. They are combining it with three other comics and upping the price to 3.99. I am a bit disgusted that they are doing this. But you will be able to get the story at a reasonable price instead of paying $15 bucks for it.
