Just wanted to give people an update on a few fronts.
First of all, on Friday, I got accepted into a graduate degree program in tax law at New York University. Applying for this program was required of me when I accepted this job. Don't know what would have happened if I hadn't gotten in. See, the problem is that it is the best program in the country and therefore the hardest to get into. It is also the *only* tax LL.M. program in the area. If you don't get into NYU around here, there isn't any place else to go. Anyway, I got it. I now have to figure out how to do all my work, go to class two days a week and study as well. Yikes!
My brother managed to capture the cat he was concerned about last night. It turns out that it is a male cat, and therefore not pregnant. He said "Pohina" (Hawaiian for grey head) was extremely irritated at being captured and kept in a bathroom. He is also crawling with mites and on his way to the vet today. Even if this cat ends up running away from an adoptive home, he should at least be "fixed" before he ends up at large again.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope to have more reports on my Vermont cousins when I get back.
Love to all,
Polly

Okay, I tried that again. And it won't let me go anywhere without logging in first. When I went to do that, thinking it would give me a chance to register, this is what the page says:
"If you are not already a member, please write to [email protected] for registration. We are currently still in beta test version and all registration is handled through this email address."
I did that before and was told I wasn't needed for beta testing and would be notified when the site was up. That hasn't happened.
I tried clicking on "Sign up for an account" anyway and got the dreaded 404 message: "Not Found. The requested URL /users/join.php was not found on this server."
We're well into the too-hard-to-do category now. I guess I'll give up.
Thanks anyway.

Fan,
You might wanna try again. I've heard of others who were rejected like that, tried again, and got in.
Happy Thanksgiving all, may your family gatherings be fantastic.

Here's a "coincidence" for you Wizzard...
I have just started re-reading Lord of the Rings and have found a couple of B5 connections:
"Do not tempt the patience of Wizzards, for they are subtle, and quick to anger." was spoken by Gandalf.
The mines of Moria are called Khazad-dum by the Dwarves.
I wonder if there are any more connections?
