Well, the little one's getting a lot bigger. We just got her two goldfish last weekend. She promptly named them Sally and Hally. Even took some pictures for her "sharetime" at pre-school.
Other than that, I've been much much much too busy at work lately.

Hey, guess what? Jot has started a new site: ancientworlds.net. If you have an AncientSites nick, you can log in there if you are interested. The site is in alpha testing, with a plan to go to beta on 3/30. Jot plans to have the site completely supported by subscriptions of $7.50 per month, according to what is written on the homepage there. Good luck to him on that. AS was never my thing, but I did log in to tell him hi and good luck. Jot's a good guy, and CS pretty well put him out to pasture. Good to talk to him again.

Hey there gang. Just wanted to let you know that Ancient World is up and running. It is in Alpha testing right now. It is being run by someone I trust.
There are a couple of catches, 1) there is no Sci Fi Site and I doubt that there will be one. 2) After the alpha test it will be a subscription only site. So there is fair warning. 3) You ahve to have a registered AS name.
Right now there are grams that work (yes) and some familiar faces. OK, not that many from the sci fi crowd but I figured I would share.

I just got great news!!!!
My brother just heard from the department head at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. They are submitting his name to the Provost as their first choice for the position for which he interviewed last week. We hope that this is just a rubber stamp kind of thing. He seems highly inclined to take the job and withdraw his other applications if everything goes through.
This is amazing news. He would be just about half an hour away from me (the other side of Newark) if this happens.
I am bursting with joy.
