Thanks, Tandara! Glad she's around and doing OK!
Hmmm, Fan. I had a similar experience when I ran across my old SFS home site. I clicked on it to see what would happen and was told to sign in or register. I couldn't remember any old sign-in passwords, etc., so I tried to register and got the 400 message. Oh, well...

Ian--two more:
In the episode where Ivanova uses the Great Machine, Draal tells her "Do not stray from the path" and when the shadows appear he tells her "It is the Enemy."
"Do not leave the path," is what Gandalf tells Bilbo and the dwarves as they enter Mirkwood in The Hobbit. And Sauron is frequently referred to simply as The Enemy.
Might see more of this in the Ranger movie. In LotR, the Rangers were described as watching over the frontiers and the borders--something the Rangers in B5 also do.

iz, as to the Ranger connection, remember too that Aragorn wore a green stone, given to him by Galadriel. The Rangers in B5 always wear a green stone on their cloaks.
Other LotR connections in modern stuff I just noticed: in Harry Potter, "Wormtail" is very much like Grima Wormtongue in LotR. Even right down to how they cower and snivel in front of their masters. I haven't finished Goblet of Fire, so I have yet to see how that parallel works out.

Maybe not, but unless what you want to read is on Page 1 you still have to wait longer for things to load, as it's necessary to click on the page you're looking for.
I'm finding it rather a pain, myself.

<font face="georgia">It would appear that the folks behind the system here have been working on things. I now see that the pages are load quickly because the topics are now paged. I guess we don't have to worry about 100 post limits anymore?
