I just made a startling discovery!!! I signed on here at Hostboard the other day for what I thought was the first time. A few minutes ago, I decided to check out this topic and found a post I made way back in Dec. Must have been during one of the crashes at SFV. All those meltdowns must have rotted my brain!
To answer the queries made earlier about Rod Serling, a great many of his plots were centered around upstate New York. This had a logical reason. He went to college at either Cornell, or Syracuse (can't remember which) and spent most of his summers, up until his death, on Keuka Lake, one of the Finger Lakes. As a matter of fact, that's where he died. We lived one lake away, on Seneca and, as he was an avid baseball fan, he would spend many a happy evening at our local bb park watching the Chicago Cubs' minor league team.
That's how our family got to know him, as fans only. We never intruded on his alter ego.

Past...aaaahhhh, the memories.
When SciFi Channel ressurects anything science fiction (and occasionally horror) from the 60's on I've usually seen it. Every once in a while one slips by, like Manimal. But it amazes me how much I watched science fiction over the years before I really realized it!
Star Trek (each generation)
Land of the Giants
Time Tunnel
Twilight Zone
Outer Limits
Night Gallery
Lost in Space
Dark Shadows
Buck Rogers
It's About Time
Battlestar Gallactica
6 Million Dollar Man
Bionic Woman (not as faithfully)
Dr Who
Hitchiker's Guide mini series
Red Dwarf
Blake Seven (when I could catch it)
Bewitched
Addams Family (original)
Does the original Wild, Wild West count?
and on and on and on
very recently, but now off:
Babylon 5
Early Edition
Pretender
Sliders
Crusade
Quantum Leap
Dark Skies
Now and Again
Now:
Voyager
Invisible Man
FarScape
Earth: Final Conflict
Andromeda
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
7 Days
Twice in a Lifetime (Pax)
Third Rock from the Sun (well, not the last couple seasons, but the first two were great)
And that one with Kade Foster that I always forget the name because FarScape keeps intruding on my mind.
and yes, Asis, I'm also a Wing-nut. I watch West Wing on Wednesdays and Voyager on Saturdays
These days, except for West Wing, if it's not some sort of SF, I probably haven't bothered to turn it on. My hubby watches enough for both of us.

Hmmmm....
Past series (in no particular order):
Star Trek (TOS, and I was watching when it originally aired, too)
Star Trek TNG
Star Trek DS9
Lost in Space
Dark Shadows (I know, it's not scifi, but I loved it, and could only watch after school when my mother wasn't paying attention, 'cause she hated it... she hated Star Trek, too)
Battlestar Gallactica (before they reached Earth)
Max Headroom (I loved that show, too, and was really bummed when it got cancelled)
Six Million Dollar Man
Earth 2 (I was bummed when that got cancelled too, and couldn't understand why the network gurus couldn't see what a terrific show it was... darn ratings :-( )
Outer Limits
Twilight Zone (really enjoying the SciFi Channel reruns of this when I can catch them)
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
Planet of the Apes
Space 1999 (Maia was my favorite alien, too, Rowyn)
Night Stalker
V
Alien Nation
Sliders (stopped watching when John Rhys Davies left, though)
Time Tunnel
Land of the Giants
Night Gallery (nothing like a good scare just before you go to bed)
Addams Family
Early Edition
Dark Skies
Now:
Farscape
Invisible Man
First Wave
Also Babylon 5, although I know it belongs in the "past" section, for me it's not over. (It's not, it's not, it's not.)
I've watched Futurama a few times.
XFiles, but not regularly, it's on a bit late for me.
I've got all the Crusade episodes on tape, but can you believe I have yet to watch them? Don't know if that's laziness or just too busy.
Andromeda I've seen once. Struck me as slightly dopey. Sorry if that irritates anybody, but, there it is.
Cheers.

I havent watched Jules Verne, from the ads it looked like typical network pablum. Ive read many of Verne's stories, including many which most folks dont hear about so I dont want to be disapointed again.(Albiet it was a long time ago).
Anyone interested in a JV (The author, not the show or the movies) thread?
