PATD IV - and so it continues

Meanwhile, Merley Bear was fervently hoping Cranky would not be coming back. He still didn't know how he'd resolve her confusion over him looking for Cranky's sister, and Cranky thinking it was Cranky herself Merley was interested in.

Sindatur and Blair are partying down in the PATD catchin' a most serious buzz and all of a sudden Sindatur is hit with a jolt.

"Master, it's me, Dolpher. I've returned to Dragon's Inn. The Drazi you left in charge of the quest went off in a huff, and the quest was never completed. We need to re-assemble a team and finish the quest for the crown jewels of Carillon to fix Crossroads. It's more unstable than ever before. I have J-boys amulet and the maps, but i need your wisdom and leadership"

With this Sindatur immediately sobers up and regains his solemn expression of old.

Sindatur grabs Blair by the wing, says his goodbyes and disappears in a puff of smoke, only to re-appear in the Dragon's Inn.

Kimball returns to the PATD looking for his friends Sindatur and Blair Grey, and Merle and Nommy tell him that Sindatur has left to go a questin' again. He's got that crotchedy look in his eye again too.

The projectile smacks Cosmic in the back of the head, just as she raises the cup to her lips to take a sip of the nectar of the gods (aka coffee). The coffee cup is jarred from Cosmic's hand and goes sailing across the table before crashing to the floor.

"What the...?!"

Tandara hears a low growl coming from Cosmic's direction and decides to make herself scarce. She hops over the bar and ducks behind it before the irrate High Priestess can turn around. However, being an inquisitive Warrior Babe, she can't resist taking a quick peek over the top of the bar to see what is happening. Cosmic catches a glimpse of her before she ducks back down.

"Aha! Should have known...who else would throw a yam?"

Cosmic glances around the room trying to think of a suitable payback for her friend. She spies the Christmas tree, triluminary still on top, standing in the corner and rolls her eyes. "I can't believe no one took that down yet, especially after that Baby New Year incident. And I can't believe Valen hasn't taken the triluminary...."

She stops in mid-thought, as an evil grin lights up her face. Walking over to the tree, she reaches up and pulls off the glowing triluminary. "I have ALWAYS wanted to try this." Holding the trilum in one hand she hides it behind her back.

"Tan? You back there?" Cosmic peers over the bar.

"Hiya, CT...just looking for something to drink back here." The Warrior Babe grins at her and blows a bubble with her gum before standing up.

"Ah, ok...Umm, could you take a look at the triluminary? I want to try a little experiment with it."

She holds the trilum out to Tan and, without warning, a beam of light shoots out towards the Warrior Babe. A cloud of smoke appears where she had been standing.

"Cool! It works!

[Cosmic]

As the smoke begins to clear, the PATD patrons now see a Warrior Babe sized cocoon propped up against the bar where the Warrior Babe herself had been standing moments before.

Everyone gasps in astonishment. Merle walks over to assess the situation.

"Hey Cosmic, how'd you do that?", he asks.

"Ancient Minbari secret, known only to those who actually read the holy book of Valen instead of just looking at the pictures" She absentmindedly picks at the silky threads of the coccoon.

"Hey, does anyone know how to weave all this together to make sheets?"

[Cosmic]

Merle knocks on the outer shell of the cocoon.

"You think she's ok in there?", he wonders.

"Oh yeah, she's ok...I wouldn't do anything that would actually hurt her...she IS my friend, ya know. Here, why don't you cut it open and let her out now?" Cosmic hands him a knife.

Merle carefully cuts through the shell and pulls apart the opening. A stream of words, better left untyped, can be heard emitting from the coccoon as he tears it apart.

"See? I told you she was ok, Merle." Cosmic grins.

As Tan emerges from her chrysalis, Merle gasps, yet again.

"Ummmmmm, CT? Was that supposed to happen?", he asks.

Cosmic peers over his shoulder at Tan and begins to giggle.

Yeah! Isn't it cool?!

Smiling slyly at Tan, Cosmic greets her friend.

"Hiya Bonehead! Payback is hell, isn't it?"

I see Sindatur wasn't exagerating. This place really hasn't changed much at all.

Hey CT, when you find someone to weave those sheets, think you can do up a set for me too, the frictionless kind.

Say, how long is that gonna be there? It's not gonna rot or anything is it?

Yeah, you take one half of it and I'll take the other. What color you want them dyed?

Nomad saw what was about to begin and pulled a rain hat out of nowhere. (Gotta have them around here, sometimes).

He was intensley watching his bear friends but was not going to jump though the mirror image and save them. They always seem to get out of thing somehow.

Nomad ducks as there was what appeared to be lumps of sugar being thrown.

Erythrina pauses in the doorway to admire Tandara's aim. The yam is a beautiful thing in flight, its trajectory curving sweetly until.... ker-SPLAT!!!!

My! That had to hurt!
