Well, it's 14 minutes past and it still seems to be hanging on by the thinnest of threads, breathing is ragged, but still a breath now and then. Unless I'm seeing ghosts.

I felt it would be more meaningful if I didn't bother to log out. Kinda like a part of me will still be there with it in cyber heaven.

Though sad, as much as moving is a pain in the rear, things will only get better in our new homes. New people to meet, new places to go, new topics to discuss...and new memories to reminisce about!!

heheheh In chat we were talking about the problems the webtv folks had with grams. CT had 75 grams waiting for her once we figured out how they accessed them. (grins)

The strange thing the the pluthera (sp) of error messages and problems that we encountered over the last three years at SFS never seemed to really bother folks. We all jsut shrugged and said "whatever" and came back when the site was back up.

Which makes this all that much harder. I know how much work that Jot, Eddy, Mars, Betty, Cory, Gordian, and comp put into the site. Some one asked me if I thought that Cybersites would be happy tos ee Vines 1 going down and I had to say "no", the founders put too much into it.

Ian sounds like you sent SFS out in a rather spectacular fasion. Wish I could have been there with you. Personally, I went grocery shopping, went home, called Ery and reminisced. Then I called Azziz and reminisced. Then I cried. (not ashamed to admit it)

Ya know, I thought I would be ok Friday...after all, it's just an internet site...a dime a dozen. (yeah, right!)

I logged on and immediately started boo-hooing, went into the MilkyWay chat room with Crash and Kimball, stayed in there until I had my fill of error messages and getting kicked out. I stayed logged on until a few seconds before noon, sent my last gram to my favorite Minbari, copied what I thought was the final post and logged out. I kept the people panel and index up just to see how it would end....then they extended pulling the plug! Ah well....

I ended up logging back in to turn out the lights again and a few minutes later, watched as the people panel refreshed and turned into the SFV main page. No boom, no fireworks, just a sad sigh.
