I think J.K. Rowling is trying to get the books out about once a year, so I wouldn't be shocked if the book came out around the time of the movie anyway. But certainly all the publicity recently has been on the movie. What book 5 will be about I have no idea, but I'd guess a lot more to do with "He Who Must Not Be Named."

I also thought it was funny that the producers of the movie wanted Hermione's name changed to "Bailey". Stupid Hollywood. Rowling refused.

I also read all four parts and got kind of addicted. My children read all the books twice (at least!). I think No 4 is a bit tough with this scene on the graveyard, but it definitely puts a spell on you.

I loved the books! They renewed my passion for excellent childrens literature!! Joanne Rowlings has an enviable talent. I think the last paragraph of the third novel is one of the greatest closes in literary history...thanks for the Harry Potter url...I'm off to sign up - and knowing my luck, I'll end up in Slytherin...LOL!!

I'm in! And in Griffindor, too! It doesn't sort everybody into Griffindor house, though - Peter managed to become a Ravenclaw...
I love the way they've constructed the site and the movie looks well in keeping with the novels. One thing puzzled me though, they changed the name for the film. It's going to be called 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone' instead of the Philosophers' Stone....odd?

Julia, that's because in the US that is the name of the first book. I know it's "Philosopher's Stone" in the UK though the rest of the book is the same.
