There, there, Ery. We'll forgive ya this time. Hope you can reconstruct what your thoughts were.
Season 1 is always fun for me, as I saw it after I had become a fan, and watched the reruns on TNT. I didn't realize just how much groundwork was laid in the first season, and seeing it from the perspective of knowing the ending, you really pick up a whole lot of stuff that you wouldn't notice on a first viewing.
I always cringe when Walker Smith tells Michael to watch his back, knowing what is coming. That's about all that ep is good for.
"And so it begins...." Really, it is just the beginning. Season 1 just sets the table for what is to come. It's kinda like reading The Hobbit. Then you read The Lord of the Rings.
