Have you all registered for the signed Ranger poster contest? Also check out the other features and news at www.scifi.com/b5rangers/index.html

Wow, Absom, thanks for the link. They may be having problems over there at SciFi, when I tried to register I got the dreaded "URL not found on this server" message.
Hmmm.

I just tried it (7:35 AM PDT) and it went where it's supposed to. YMMV...

Yes....I needed something like that. I'm entered.
There is an art student living next door to me these days. We don't bump into eachother much (I leave the house at 7:15 AM when all good litttle art students are asleep), but she seems like a nice kid. Once, she saw a B5 thing on my wall (think it was the fan club button stuck on a cork board) and was pleased. I think I'll invite her over to watch the new movie on my big screen TV. They seem to have a tiny little 13 incher. The movie will show up better on a 31 (or is it 32...whatever). I should be able to clean up a little by then....
Sheesh...me and my eternal search for an excuse to neaten my apartment.

a plan of attack
the bboard at http://www.scifi.com/b5rangers/ is unfortunately just like the Farscape one--impossible to navigate, posts disappear within a few hours (and good luck trying to read earliers ones). but it will be a scene of lots of activity. we should try to come up with a way for our discussion group to keep a presence there without getting lost in the shuffle. maybe we could use a topic codeword--and we would post mostly inside that topic. or course, we would have to restart it every day, because that kind of bboard doesn't branch--it's more like a rolladex--topics just keep moving up the board, and when they get to the top, they vanish.

Actually Iz,
If you bookmark it, you will always go to it no matter how far it rolls. I did that with the Jeanne Cavelos topic.

Iz, I've been posting at other boards at scifi for ages and never have had any of the problems you mentioned. Things don't disappear. You must get used to the way it works. After you finish reading a post, click at the top on B5 Legend (etc.) which is directly above the last post heading. It will take you back to the board. If you want to see previous posts from a few days back, go to the bottom and find the topic numbers.

I tried to register again, and it *still* says "File not found." I've been registered at SciFi.com for ages, what the hey....
Maybe it doesn't like me.

Fan, when I registered for another contest I got that message and had to select a new nick.
What happens when you get that broken url is that it gets thru part of the process but not all. Thereby taking the name you wanted and preventing it from being used
But the second time I signed up, it worked.

Fan and Asis. If you already belonged to scifi, that's where you made your mistake. You were trying to register as a new member. When you sign once, you don't have to sign again on a new board. The confusion was caused by the fact, of course, that there was already someone with the same handle---you. BTW, have you tried www.B5LR.com
