What a fun game. One friend of ours who'd never been to a Raider game was amazed at the atmosphere in the parking lot before the game.

"It's like one big party."

Yeah, with about 60,000 of your friends. Welcome to the Raider Nation.

The one friend who helped get my ticket for me was nervous before the game. I told him, "Relax, they're going to win the next three games in a row."

Aw...nuts.

Game over, man. 49er's are out of it. And they got out of it in a sad way. Got spanked...steam-rollered...embarrassed. Coach Mariucci(sp?) has one year left on his contract, so the "team" will shop him around, hoping for a killing like the Raiders got for letting Gruden go. Beat-up secondary couldn't stop a 50/50 offense, and the 49er offense barely challenged the #1 rated defense. Then, with 35 seconds left in the first half...coach heads for the barn. Knew the game was over then. Guess the coach knew his 49er days were over, too. Front office has been mumbling about a replacement, so I guess if there wasn't a Super Bowl in the future, time for a new coach. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out next season. Hopefully, the front office can put together a decent team before Garcia runs out of gas.

Ok, sad story over. Start with the backup plan...Bay Area team, followed if needed by a California team. Two more games, then the season's done.

Move over, Jacesan...

You were supporting the Patriots, and we saw the results. You then went to the dark side and supported the Jets. We also see the results. You're assignment is to support...The Eagles. Yes, that's right, the Eagles. Or, since it's still AFC/NFC playoff time, go for the Titans.

But, keep your ju-ju away from the Raiders. Sacred ground.
