Good Lord Crash, you're quick. I got mine at 10:30 am Saturday, and started reading Sunday (got to about page 250).

I agree Nommy, that's one of my biggest questions so far, who did send the howler to Petunia, Harry didn't recognize the voice. And Dudley, it was unclear to me (in the first event, don't know if the Dursley's come back after Chapter 12 though) how aware Dudley was of what was happening. Did he have the normal Muggle feelings, or was he more aware than a muggle should be. The Arabella Figg bombshell at the beginning of Chapter 2 blew me away, nobody predicted anything like this, that I ever saw. Many people are gonna have to go back to the drawing board with their theories after the first 3 chapters, as so many of the most popular ones were smashed. Ginny seems to be sneaking under the radar already, what with Fred (or George, don't remember which) made the comment about impressive things coming in small packages and then saying "you've never been on the receiving of end of one of her...(Damn now I forget what the actual wording was.)

Keep in mind that in grad school I would have weeks were I had 3000 pages of reading to do with reports on the reading. You learn how to read pretty fast then.
I am assuming you do not want me to answer the questions you are asking in this topic so all I can say is wait and you will find out who sent the Howler

Dudley was totally unaware of what was happening. He blames Harry for the entire incident. Muggles cannot see Dementors, and Dudley is as Muggle as they come. I was a bit surprised when Harry did not tell his Aunt and Uncle to break out the chocolate.

Thanks PC, yes you assume rightly, I don't want any spoilers that weren't JKR approved, 'cause her spoilers don't hurt anything in the long run, and actually just make you more hungry and frustrated. Sometimes it's more fun to ask questions that go unanswered, although when I'm finished with the book, I would be happy to hear your answers to things I believe weren't answered.
Regarding Dudley, thanks, I noticed Dudley was blaming Harry entirely, just wasn't sure about how aware he was of what actually happened. Good thought about the chocolate.
