Well, moving day is tomorrow...or rather later today. I am officially scared. I hate moving. And unpacking is going to be the world's biggest nightmare. I have over 100 boxes packed and the movers are going to have to finish the job tomorrow (bathroom, clothes, shoes, and a few other bits and pieces). I just don't see how there is going to be room in the new place for my furniture and the boxes of books in the in between time when the books aren't yet on the shelves. Thank God I didn't have to take an apartment in the other complex that only had lofts available. Books/bookcases and spiral staircases are not a good match.
I may be out of touch for a bit. I have no idea if my computer is going to like the cable modem when I get high speed internet access set up (hopefully Friday). Telephone may take longer - the appointment isn't until next week.
Anyway see you all on the flip side.

Oh, one more thing. When you make calls to set up basic services like electricity and gas and the service rep asks who your employer is, the reaction you get when you say I haven't started yet, but I will be working for the IRS is most strange. I don't know what they think I'm going to DO, but there is an almost audible "snap to attention" thing going on. Hmm...

Good Luck Polly. Yea funny how mentioning you work for the IRS gets an instant respect from people, especially when you don't say it threateningly, LOL

I'm sure saying you work for the IRS has a similar effect to FBI, CIA or NSA or such

hehehe well in DC you get used to these folks being around. Plus which, no one in the CIA would tell you that they work for the CIA.

LOL
I removed part of a post here just in case it was problematic for some dumb reason. Long and the short, never plug an IPod into a classified computer. You will get in serious trouble.
Right now someone at NSA is listen to mine before sanitizing going "What an idiot".
