Before anything I really wanted to personally say THANK YOU to those that have taken the time to donate towards the operational costs of Hostboard.com It just re-emphasizes to me how the users feel about the site reaffirming our commitment to developing Hostboard in to the best online community.

That being said we now hope to be posting site wide news and announcements roughly once a month as we bring more features and enhancements to the site. Have a suggestion? Just let us know your thoughts over at the Help Desk.

Hostboard Site Update 03/03/09

1. We have spent considerable time scouring the site cleaning up unwanted SPAM and banning those who posted it. If you come across any that we missed please report it to us at the HelpDesk.

2. Links Directory: Though not finalized the software is up and running. The layout mimics Hostboard's categories so it should be easy to find a place to submit your link under. This all new section will allow the Hostboard members to submit links to their favorite sites. Non-members who wish to preform a link exchange are also welcome. We do however require a reciprocal link for each submission. You can find this new area as a link under the navigation menu on our home page or under the Administration Forums area. I will post an individual announcement once this new area is open to members.

3. We have been hard at work re-working the entire HBCP from the ground up and have spent considerable amount of time testing and re-testing under various conditions and feel confident we now have a working product that is now 100% functional. In the near future we will truly be bring a new meaning to the ability of customizing your forum as we now can start by fine tuning what is there as well as adding more functionality! In the mean time every function within the HBCP works as it was designed to (cossing fingers).

We are now openly asking owners and moderators to please go and break it! We want to see if you can make it fail! Upload new images, replace icons, use bb code in the header, footer and annoucements. Let us know all about it at the help desk so we can fix what ever you came across

NEW:

1. Hostboard members can join/become members of individual forums. This new otpion is located under "Forum Tools" You can then manage your forum memberships within your control panel. This will lead to some new features for owners and moderators in the near future.

2. Moderators now can access the HBCP and administer their forums. If there is no owner a moderator can now take over a forum as an owner on a first come first serve basis.

We still have ALOT of work to do but felt we were at a point were we could re-release the HBCP and have a solid platform to expand off of. Till our next announcement...
