Dear Marie Currie

I think Cherie knows how much we appreciate her as full artist and beautiful human being and how we are happy when we see she gets to take the time to write here, but for these holidays I also would like to send a big hug of friendship (by now you know I never use the word "love") to Marie Currie [img]smile.gif[/img] When I read "Neon Angel" I learned about her great way to care about Cherie and the family, and about having her own personality, although she was the one that was always talked about less over the years, in respect to Cherie, Sondra and Luke. Now that Trev is growing as a young man and artist I imagine how Marie must be proud of him, as well as we heard how Cherie herself is proud of him, but I can see that Trev for a little time will be bound to be known mostly for being "Luke's son". Well, Marie,we all know that you are a great support for him, maybe the greatest he has. When I got "Neon angel" it's like I made a new acquaitance, the Currie Family, and I happen to think of Marie as the wind beneath wings,so I want to virtually dedicate to Marie this song which is one of the greatest ever written, when I think about a person who can suit these words, it moves me, it almost makes me cry, with a smile. I have to concur that Marie is truly a sweetheart.
The first time I met her was in '93 at a performance by Cherie at the Palamino club. She was walking pass and saw a poster of the Runaways that I had brought as a gift for Cherie and she introduced herself and we talked for a few minutes. she told me that after the show she would introduce me to her sister.
I next met her after the mini reunion show at the Whiskey and again after the show Marie was mingling with fans and asking to see our memorabilia that we had brought along. She was gracious enough to sign a couple things for me, before offering again to take me upstairs to met Cherie, Sandy, and Jackie.

I tried to catch the replay yesterday and just as I turned on the TV they we saying Lindsey Lowan had just performed. She and Hydra had opened the show so, because I was a couple minutes late, I missed it totally! Darn it!

I was fortunate to meet the Currie Twins at a signing event in 2003. If you love Cherie you gotta love Marie!
