Their music had enough hooks to hold interest, but got bland vibes offa them as a whole back at Chiller. Pre-processed (seen that - old hat) canned-teen-rebellion faux punk, what "Rawk" radio stations are so hungry to gobble up.
They just feel like another alt-rock garage band with adequate talent waiting for a "Record Producer" to shower them with cash to make a "real" album.

Just reporting for a friend there Reved. Posted the link to let those who care judge the music for themselves. I really enjoy their live show and their canned-teen-rebellion faux punk. That's just my opinion and we all know what opinions are like.

First time I saw LOURDS was back in 95 or 96 here in NY they warmed up for
Joan Jett and The Black [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] s I enjoyed them very much then and I enjoyed them at the Chiller event. I wasn't all that crazy about the dead elvi's but with the exception that Jake and Cherie did those 2 songs with them Cherry_Bomb and Man in the box the dead elvi's were ok.
Glad you had a good time Mike

Thanks Sporty... Love the shots!
They are one of my favorite bands. I had seen them open for Joan back in 1995 at Tuxedo Junction in Danbury, CT. - Though I hate to say it, they blew Joan's perfomance away and the place went wild for them. I was hooked on this band and still am today.
Hey... Have you seen them on YMC? Check it out - Click on the link, enter the site, go to tab titled "City Sessions" scroll down til you find "LOURDS" and click the preview button. It runs a breif interview with the band and then the video for "Super Girl."
