Here is a photo of Cherie burning the "double redwood bears" she just finished in Brentwood.
She says it was very tough! Her scaffold wasn't tall enough to reach the front (nine feet?) so she had to rotate the top bear to face the pool..

And this is a photo of the beginning of the bears.

Cherie is so gifted! Wouldn't you agree?
and I will gladly post some more of the
Chainsaw Chick's Critter photos
the very minute opportunity knocks!!!

Awesome!
Thanks for posting these, Gus!

I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty stunned by the sheer bravery involved in creating Cherie's amazing artwork.

If it were me, just getting on the scaffolding would make me too dizzy to hold a chainsaw! Yikes! I'm nervous just looking at her standing on that tiny plank!!!!

Gus! You are the master! Thanks for the pictures. I always enjoy seeing Cherie showing off her latest skill. I wish I was one-tenth as talented. But like they say in Caddyshack "the world needs ditch diggers too." (The previous statement was not meant to belittle that time honored tradition. I myself had a job once that required me to dig holes in the ground. There was no complaints from the clients btw )
Cherie I am forever impressed by your talent. But please be careful! The thought of you on that rickety looking scaffolding working with a chainsaw... By the way, nice tatt

I'm glad everyone is enjoying these photos as much as I am!

It looks like that burning process is nearly as crucial as the carving itself.
It must require intense concentration on the part of the artist!

You are truly amazing Cherie!
