    Hello Everyone

Raintown boy has raised an interesting question on the Vinyl vs CD post I think with regards to album covers: what are your favorite ones in the rock'n'roll/pop/contemporary music history?

Strictly from an artistic point of view based on sleeve design layout, concept, colours, etc and not the content itself (music), mine are:

    - Odgen's Nut Gone Flake by The Small Faces
    - Disraeli Gears by Cream
    - Abbey Road by The Beatles
    - Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
    - Never Mind The *****cks by The Sex Pistols
    - Nevermind by Nirvana
    - 1984 by Van Halen
    - The Runaways by The Runaways
    - In Blissful Company by Quintessence
    - Aerial by Kate Bush
    - But Seriously Folks by Joe Walsh

...and I better stop here as I could go on till summertime!

    :-)

    Lory

I like 'YES' album covers because they felt more like posters than covers, and they just about all became posters too! CD covers are too small and low-resolution to feel like anything you'd ever want to tack-up on the wall.

    Lp covers that pop into my feeble mind are;

Byrds - Sweethearts Of The Rodeo
Plasmatics 1st lp or Butcher baby 12"
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
Sex Pistols - The Great Rock & Roll Swindle (OST)

I'll try to give this a bit more thought & jot down a few titles as I remember them.

I like your new list there Rog! I keep thinking of The Beatles because every cover from Rubber Soul on, was classic cover art!
The Stones too! Who can forget Let It Bleed or Through The Past Darkly or Sticky Fingers!

    Rock on!
