Oh, gosh I don't even want to know! With all the smoking and earlier abuse I put my body through, I think my time may be limited!!! I KNOW I smoke too much but even so haven't quit yet....stupid, I know!

Welcome, you two!
Just to get back to the smoking thing again: Here in NYC, cigarettes are $7.50 a pack. I mean, it's criminal to destroy one's body, one's loved ones (all these studies about second hand smoke, and a new one out today) and one's wallet! Okay, we do all have to make an effort to quit soon. You know, I hate to say it, but I am really, really worried about gaining alot of weight. I so don't mean to sound shallow and/or dim-witted, but problems with weight run in my family, and I've worked so hard to avoid that trap. Unfortunately, I fell into another one by smoking instead of eating all the time.
Cherie, if you were able to quit for TEN YEARS, I'm sure you can do it again. Of course you can! Maybe we can all work towards a day, and quit in a group? Does that sound interesting to anybody, or is that nuts?

If there is any chance it will help get all my friends here to quit the nasty smoking habit I am willing to beg!
<font size="6">Please Quit!!!!!</font>
Good luck fighting the good fight!

Thank you for your welcomes!! I know I shouldn't be so vain about gaining weight either as I already weigh enough! However, when I DID quit before, and tried to after that, I just didn't feel like ME! Nuts, huh? And, no, I don' think having a sort of support group would be a bad thing for us!!
