I've got a sad follow-up to that one, Gus. I watched on TV last night a tribute to the surreal poet, storyteller and musician Ivor Cutler who died recently, aged 83. A fellow Glaswegian (a native of Glasgow) he was a friend of the Beatles, in particular Paul McCartney. You probably haven't heard of him, but if you ever watch 'Magical Mystery Tour', he played the tour guide on the coach. His wonderfully weird album 'Jammy Smears' has been getting a lot of airplay in my household.

R.I.P. Ivor Cutler aka Buster Bloodvessel, in MMT, as I recall. Not to be confused with Buster Bloodvessel of Bad Manners!
Thanks for that news RB!
Hey, howzabout those STONES playing China?!?!? And only 5 songs were banned. I think more than that were banned when they played the Superbowl right here in the good old USofA a couple months ago!
What is wrong with this picture?

What up Doc? How are those remastered Blondie CDs?
I'm a completist when it comes to the band but I am trying to draw some (parallel) lines on spending!
I happened upon a CMT special last night which was FANtastic!
It was Van Morrison performing soulful classics from his new collection 'Pay The Devil.'
The coolest performance by Van The Man that I have seen in a long time!
A little bit countryish but very ear-grabbing!
Van is one of my old time favorites and I will definitely be adding this CD to my collection of THEM!

Now they are saying the Rolling Stones have had to canceled the first 15 shows of their tour so Keith can recuperate from the brain surgery for complications due to falling out of a palm tree, a while back, and hitting his head while trying to get a coconut in order to impress his wife and Woody with his youthful agility!
Just goes to show ya...You Can't Always Get What You Want!
Here's to Mr. Richards speedy recovery!

So...Gus...Are you saying that Keef...Must be outta his tree
Ok, I just did some trading with some friends and I have got a couple of oddball items.
1) Mae West - Way Out West...The first track is classic Mae talking/singing her act while being backed by a very good 60's Pop band. I am a big fan of cover songs so I went directly to "You Shook Me All Over", and was surprised to hear Her actually singing and doing a pretty good version. Other songs include: "Day Tripper", "When A Man Loves A Woman", And "Twist & Shout"
2) Julie London - Yummy Yummy Yummy...I Remember Julie as the Nurse in the old TV show Emergency.
She has a breathy Lounge singer voice and covers several rock/pop songs, I love her version of Laura Nyro's "Stone Soul Picnic". She also does a very interesting version of "Light My Fire", As well as covering "Mighty Quinn" and "Louie Louie"
3)Annette Funicello - Annette Sings Golden Surfin' Hits...I remember seeing this on Vinyl a long time ago for a stupid price, so I had to grab this one. It sounds like they took the backing tracks and had her sing over the original arrangements. Its kinda fun to listen to on a hot day cruising in town.
Some of the songs include: Surf City, Sidewalk Surfin, and Surfin Safari.

Yes Rog, at 62, Keef might consider being a bit more careful.
He's got lots of people WAITING ON A FRIEND, 4 sure!
Interesting finds there, btw. Mae West doing DAY TRIPPER has got to be some kind of amazing!
