It's sad that on the anniversary of the first manned moon landing, I had to learn that James Doohan passed away!
He had a major talent for dialects they say and I was surprised when I learned "Scotty" was Canadian!
He was an essential part of the Enterprize crew and I am going to miss him a lot!
Beam me up Scotty, one last time!

Yes indeed it is a sad day with the passing of a great Canadian, a legendary actor, and starship engineer. He did Canada proud, and he will be missed. Full miltary honors are definitely in order. Fittingly, according to yahoo news, his ashes will be launched into space. Ahead warp factor 7, Mr. Scott.

I did not know this, but,
> Doohan created the Klingon language introduced in the first Star
> Trek movie, 1979's ``Star Trek: The Motion Picture,'' according to
> the director's edition DVD of the film. His original sounds were
> expanded and used to translate William Shakespeare plays and the
> Bible.
It seems full Klingon honors would also be fitting.
